Two Years Ago — Turkey : “Ex-CIA Director Allegations on Gülen Forced Removal Are Ludicrous”

“We will continue to work decisively in cooperation with the U.S. judicial authorities to finalize this process and obtain positive results without further delay. Any other allegation in connection with the extradition of Fetullah Gulen to Turkey is false, ludicrous and groundless.”

Remembering CIA Barbara A. Robbins (July 26, 1943 – March 30, 1965) [2019]

“I imagine you’re still wondering about Doug (Johnson). I still haven’t given him an answer and I may not between now and at the time he leaves. . . . The trouble is I’m not at all sure how I feel about him. Time, I guess, will be the deciding factor. That’s all for now. Love, Barbara”

Barbara A. Robbins — Last letter to her parents (March 23 1965)

“To this day, Barbara [Robbins] is the youngest officer memorialized on our Wall. She was the first American woman to die in Vietnam and the first woman in our Agency’s history to make the ultimate sacrifice.  Nine women since then have fallen in service to our mission. Today we remember them all, with great love and great admiration.”

CIA Director Leon Panetta — Memorial Ceremony (2011)

“They devoted their hearts and minds to a mission unlike any other, at an agency unlike any other, serving on the world’s most dangerous frontiers to defend our people, defeat our adversaries, and advance our freedoms. Their words and deeds will inspire us forever, and their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”

CIA Director David Petraeus — 2012 Annual Memorial Ceremony

Barbara Robins – Nha Trang – 1964

March 30 2019 –Officially, the first female CIA officer to die in the line of duty and receive a star on the Memorial Wall was Barbara Robbins. One Year Ago — Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Face Trial For Corruption

“Sarkozy has to give back the money he accepted from Libya to finance his electoral campaign. We financed his campaign and we have the proof… The first thing we’re demanding is that this clown gives back the money to the Libyan people.”

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi — March 2011

Two Years Ago — MOSSAD Turned French Spies Into Double Agents

“Recruiting allies as spies would cross a red line. There is a clear line between electronic spying and trying to co-opt allied intelligence agents. This was never done during my era as it was known as something that was completely off-limits.”

March 29 2017 — A French Intel Report reveals efforts by the Mossad to develop ‘relationships’ with several French spies, “to the point of crossing the line of turning them into double agents.” Two Israeli diplomats were asked to leave France. Havana Syndrome — CBS 60 Minutes : “Foreign Government Targeting U.S. Diplomats With Microwave Weapons”

“Dear Jeff, two years ago I tried to contact so many journalists. Not one ever replied…. We could have caught them ‘Red Handed’. Pure and simple. I actually recommended a simple way to document these attacks in Brussels, Belgium, in 2014.”

Intel Today — Message to Jeff Stein (March 18 2019)

“Yes, I’m aware. I’ve been following this from the get-go. I’m glad ’60 Minutes’ did the story, but per usual, they gave no credit to the work of others.”

Jeff Stein [Newsweek ] — Reply to Intel Today (March 18 2019)

Mark Lenzi — a US State Department security officer — believes diplomats were attacked with a microwave weapon by the Chinese government

March 29 2019 — Mysterious attacks in Cuba and China — and elsewhere even if not yet reported — have caused several victims to suffer damage in the inner ear and brain trauma. CBS “60 Minutes” has investigated these illnesses and spoke to some of the victims. What they found suggests the illnesses could be the result of microwave attacks by China. Does it ring a bell? One Year Ago — NSA Expert Blasts Russiagate Hype

“By devoting so much attention to the Russia story, journalists are failing in the difficult job of developing sources within what the spy world calls “hard targets”—the CIA, the NSA, and other parts of the intelligence community. No one, it seems, deems it necessary to explore the ways in which the U.S. intelligence establishment has for years brazenly hacked, bugged, and stolen data from the elections of others—even friends and neighbors such as Mexico. America the victim is always a far better story than America the perpetrator.”

James Bamford — Author and NSA Expert

March 28 2018 — NSA expert James Bamford says the reports of Russian interference in the 2016 US election are overblown. Follow us on Twitter: @Intel_Today Continue reading

Two Years Ago — Former CIA John Kiriakou : “Doing Time Like A Spy”

Even if torture works, it cannot be tolerated — not in one case or a thousand or a million. If their efficacy becomes the measure of abhorrent acts, all sorts of unspeakable crimes somehow become acceptable. I may have found myself on the wrong side of government on torture. But I’m on the right side of history. There are things we should not do, even in the name of national security. One of them, I now firmly believe, is torture.”

Former CIA Analyst John Kiriakou

March 27 2017 — Doing Time Like A Spy is former CIA analyst John Kiriakou’s memoir of his twenty-three months in prison. Using life skills he learned in CIA operational training, he was able to keep himself safe and at the top of the prison social heap. Follow us on Twitter: @Intel_Today Continue reading

On This Day — The Greatest False Flag Attack of All Time (The Saint Nazaire Raid – March 28, 1942)

“At 01:28, with the convoy 1 mile from the dock gates,  Lieutenant Commander Stephen Halden Beattie ordered the German flag lowered and the White Ensign raised.”

The Saint Nazaire Raid: Operation Chariot

The St Nazaire Raid — also known as  Operation Chariot — was a British amphibious attack on the heavily defended Normandie dry dock at St Nazaire in German-occupied France during the Second World War. The operation was undertaken by the Royal Navy and British Commandos under the auspices of Combined Operations Headquarters on March 28, 1942. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY Continue reading

Lockerbie — When the Media Miss the Real Story — [UPDATE : Dr Jim Swire : “Lockerbie Has No Stasi Link”]

“Following the arrest of Dalkamoni and others […], it is possible to conclude that at least the core of the cell structure has been removed. It is not possible to say that all persons involved in the terrorist activities had been arrested.”

Germany — BKA Report (October 1988)

“How much of a coincidence is it that there are two investigations related to Lockerbie going on in Germany at the same time? I would say it is no coincidence and that the police enquiry with the ex-Stasi people is a spoiler to distract from the SCCRC investigation. it is also no coincidence that the Telegraph, the Mail and the Guardian are all reporting on the ex-Stasi investigation, while totally ignoring the SCCRC enquiry.”

Anonymous — Email to Intel Today (March 21 2019)

March 25 2019 — Last week various media reported that Scotland’s solicitor general, Alison Di Rollo QC, had approached  several state prosecutors across eastern Germany asking for “legal assistance” in order to question former Stasi officers about their knowledge of the Lockerbie Affair. However, not a single newspaper reported a less sensational but, in my opinion, far more important development in this thirty years old saga. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY Continue reading

5G — Will European Countries Ban Huawei? [UPDATE — EU Drops Threat of Huawei Ban]

“Perhaps, the most puzzling part of the [Belgian Intelligence Services] report is what it does not mention. Although most countries are extremely concerned about China investments in their Telecom infrastructure, the Belgian report is silent on this issue. Why, on earth, why?”

Intel Today (November 30 2018)

“The UK needs to take decision on the extent to which we are going to be comfortable with Chinese ownership of these technologies.”

MI6 chief Alex Younger (December 3 2018)

“Given the massive cybersecurity and national security risks, the only responsible decision is for Berlin to follow the Australian, New Zealand, and U.S. lead and ban Chinese providers from the German 5G network. In doing so, Europe’s strongest economy would send a crucial signal to the rest of the European Union members that are grappling with the same decision.”

Thorsten Benner — Director of the Global Public Policy Institute in Berlin (December 9 2018)

“Huawei shares with the Chinese state intimate and extensive knowledge of the foreign telecommunications systems it is involved with.”

General Michael Hayden — Former head of the U.S. National Security Agency

“If China would resort to putting Canadians to death to defend its corporate national champion, what might it do if the Chinese Communist Party had unfettered access to Canada’s vital communications networks?”

Richard Fadden — Head of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service spy agency from 2009 to 2013 (January 20 2019)

December 5 2018 — The United States, Australia and New Zealand have already blocked Huawei from building their new 5G networks on security grounds. On December 5, Britain’s BT Group said it would rip Huawei equipment from its core telecom network. Canada is also likely to ban Huawei and  it is reported that Japan is expected to ban government use of products made by Huawei and ZTE over cybersecurity concerns.

So, why on earth has Europe been silent on this critical issue for so long? What are they waiting for? I am afraid that it will all depend on Germany’s decision.

UPDATE — On March 26 2019,  the European Commission has recommended a set of operational steps and measures to ensure a high level of cybersecurity of 5G networks across the EU. The Commission does not call for a European ban on global market leader Huawei, leaving it to EU countries to decide on national security grounds. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY Continue reading
