World Earth Day — How accurate were EXXON predictions about Global Warming? [UPDATE : INTEL TODAY predictions for 2040]

“Exxon was aware of climate change, as early as 1977, 11 years before it became a public issue… This knowledge did not prevent the company from spending decades refusing to publicly acknowledge climate change and even promoting climate misinformation — an approach many have likened to the lies spread by the tobacco industry regarding the health risks of smoking.”

Scientific American (October 2015)

Exxon’s private prediction of the future growth of carbon dioxide levels (left axis) and global temperature relative to 1982 (right axis). Elsewhere in its report, Exxon noted that the most widely accepted science at the time indicated that doubling carbon dioxide levels would cause a global warming of 3°C.
Exxon’s private prediction of the future growth of carbon dioxide levels (left axis) and global temperature relative to 1982 (right axis).

January 24 2022 — In the early 80s, oil companies like Exxon and Shell carried out internal assessments of the carbon dioxide released by fossil fuels, and forecast the planetary consequences of these emissions. How accurate were those predictions? Short answer: very good. And if they had not made a silly mistake — never reported before — the Exxon predictions would have been amazingly correct. On This Day — Operation El Dorado Canyon (April 14 1986) [Timelines & Conspiracy Theories]

Washington Post (April 7 2017)

April 14 1986 — Reagan Strikes on Tripoli and Benghazi

April 14 2022 — In a piece published by the Washington Post on April 7 2017, Amber Phillips wrote that President Ronald Reagan’s April 14 1986 bombing raid on Tripoli and Benghazi was retaliation for the December 21 1988 attack on Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie. Obvious nonsense!

But I would like to take this opportunity to remind you the importance of studying, researching and analysing the facts! Whatever the subject I investigate, I always begin by working out the very best timeline I can manage. This is a theory of mine: No lie, no matter how professional — even a CIA lie — can survive a good timeline. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY

“The CIA’s Office of Scientific Intelligence organized the project, code-named Project MK-ULTRA, in coordination with the U.S. Army Biological Warfare Laboratories. In some cases, academic researchers were funded through grants funneled to them from CIA front organizations while remaining unaware that the CIA sought to use their work for its own purposes.
