“Governments lie. They do it all the time. And, much as we’d like to believe otherwise, the US government is no exception. There were times when we may have believed otherwise. But after Vietnam and Watergate, we know better.”

On the morning of December 12 1985, shortly after takeoff from Gander en route to Fort Campbell, Arrow aircraft 1285 crashed, and burned about half a mile from the runway, killing all 248 passengers and 8 crew members on board. Investigators blamed icing. But many experts think otherwise. Was it really an accident? Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAYContinue reading →
“The thesis in my books and my writing is that anti-American terrorism arises from the behavior of U.S. foreign policy. It is what the U.S. government does which angers people all over the world.”
William Blum
“William Blum was at the forefront of critical debate and analysis of US foreign policy. He combined honesty and Truth with carefully documented analysis. His important legacy will live.”
Michel Chossudovsky (December 10, 2018)
“The newspapers were filled with pictures of happy relatives of the victims of the December 21, 1988 bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. A Libyan, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, had been found guilty of the crime the day before, January 31, 2001, by a Scottish court in the Hague, though his co-defendant, Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, was acquitted. At long last there was going to be some kind of closure for the families. But what was wrong with this picture? What was wrong was that the evidence against Megrahi was thin to the point of transparency.”
William Blum — Everything you know is wrong
Independent journalist and author William Blum died Sunday (Dec. 9 2018) at the age of 85 in Virginia. Blum’s books “Killing Hope” and “Rogue State” were widely praised for their detailed history of recent U.S. foreign policy. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAYContinue reading →
“Without PT/35(b), there would have been no indictment.”
Richard Marquise — FBI Agent who led the US side of the Lockerbie investigation
“If this (Intel Today analysis) is correct and the type of copper used in PT/35(b) can be dated 1989 / early 90s, then it adds enormously to the evidence that the fragment was not found by Hayes in May 1989 as claimed. I have consistently claimed this since 2002 but following on from John Ashton’s achievements re the tinning this could be the biggest breakthrough to date.”
George Thomson — Lockerbie Investigator (October 4 2015)
“Once more, careful analysis of tiny bits of evidence and expert opinions appears to show that police and other officials have misrepresented and distorted the facts. It brings us back, yet again, to the question: can all of these misrepresentations of evidence really be adequately explained by stupidity?”
Paul Feeney — British Terrorism Expert
DP/508 A — A magnification (showing the copper tracks) of DP/504 which is a small part cut from the ‘control sample’ DP/347(a) i.e. the Thuring board supplied to MEBO to the investigators
PT/35(b) is a small fragment of a timer circuit that was allegedly found among the debris of Pan Am 103 near the town of Lockerbie. After more than ten years of investigation, I have come to the conclusion that PT/35(b) is a forgery that was planted among the debris to implicate Libya in the bombing of Pan Am 103 and to steer the investigation away from the original suspects.
To mark the 30th Anniversary of the Pan Am 103 tragedy, INTEL TODAY will re-post one of our best Lockerbie stories every Wednesday until the end of the year. We would like to know what you think. Please, take this poll and encourage your friends to participate.

I can now explain an old mystery. Why was the watermark (SIB) on the main board of the MEBO MST-13 timer ignored by the CIA expert and read upside down, as “21B”, by the FBI?
According to a well-informed source, THURING AG — the company that supplied the PCB to MEBO — always ordered the Copper Clad Laminates (CCL) from a Swiss branch of ISOLA: Schweizerische Isolawerke AG in Breitenbach (SIB). But scientists had determined early in the investigation that PT/35(b) was not made from a SIB CCL.
That mysterious “mistake” was therefore necessary to ruin the forensic investigation and build the case against Libya. Had the SIB logo been read correctly (instead of the ridiculous “21B”), the case would have collapsed on the spot. I would argue that this establishes quite clearly the “mens rea”. The CIA & FBI investigators involved in these reports were not looking for the truth. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAYContinue reading →
“Did President Donald Trump know Michael Flynn talked about sanctions during his conversations a year ago with the former Russian ambassador? Or did the President’s small circle of advisers keep it from him?”
Jeff Zeleny and Kevin Liptak — CNN
December 11 2017 — In this old interview, Dan Fried — the former State Department chief coordinator for sanctions policy — talks about what he heard from colleagues about the eagerness of the Trump administration in its early days to lift sanctions on Russia without condition. The interview is worth watching again considering what we now know about Mike Flynn and Katy McFarland.
Obviously, McFarland was lying. We know that she spoke with Flynn just BEFORE and right AFTER his conversation(s) with the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak on December 29 2016. I would suggest that McFarland was not instructing her boss on what he should say to Kislyak.
Obviously, she was only passing information. Now, the key question is who instructed McFarland about the message that Flynn should relay to the Russian embassador about the US sanctions? Beside Trump himself, that person could only be the Vice-President. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAYContinue reading →

“Perhaps, the most puzzling part of the [Belgian Intelligence Services] report is what it does not mention. Although most countries are extremely concerned about China investments in their Telecom infrastructure, the Belgian report is silent on this issue. Why, on earth, why?”
Intel Today – November 30 2018
“Given the massive cybersecurity and national security risks, the only responsible decision is for Berlin to follow the Australian, New Zealand, and U.S. lead and ban Chinese providers from the German 5G network. In doing so, Europe’s strongest economy would send a crucial signal to the rest of the European Union members that are grappling with the same decision.”
Thorsten Benner — Director of the Global Public Policy Institute in Berlin (December 9 2018)
“The UK needs to take decision on the extent to which we are going to be comfortable with Chinese ownership of these technologies.”

“Huawei shares with the Chinese state intimate and extensive knowledge of the foreign telecommunications systems it is involved with.”
General Michael Hayden — Former head of the U.S. National Security Agency
The United States, Australia and New Zealand have already blocked Huawei from building their new 5G networks on security grounds. On Wednesday (Dec. 5), Britain’s BT Group said it would rip Huawei equipment from its core telecom network. Canada is also likely to ban Huawei. On Friday(Dec. 7), it was reported that Japan is expected to ban government use of products made by Huawei and ZTE over cybersecurity concerns. So, why on earth has Europe been silent on this critical issue for so long? What are they waiting for? I am afraid that it will all depend on Germany’s decision. “Authentic journalism is telling people something that the government doesn’t want them to know.”
Gary Webb (August 31, 1955 – December 10, 2004)
“Dark Alliance, the San Jose Mercury News’s bombshell investigation into links between the cocaine trade, Nicaragua’s Contra rebels, and African-American neighborhoods in California, remains one of the most explosive and controversial exposés in American journalism.”
The Intercept
“I was you once. Gary, I started down this road. Though nowhere near as far as you are. When they saw I wasn’t gonna stop, they ‘controversialized’ me. Do you have any idea what I’m talking about? They make *you* the story. And you have a history of schizophrenia, you’re a liar, you’re a homo, you beat your dog, you’re a pedophile, it doesn’t matter if none of it’s true. The point is no one remembers what you found. They remember you and you’re nuts. You cease to exist.”
