Havana Syndrome — Antennae or Antennas?

“There’s plenty of debate in the medical community over what, if any, physical damage there is to these individuals. All I can say fairly definitively is that the A.P.-released recording is of a cricket, and we think we know what species it is.”

Alexander Stubbs — University of California, Berkeley (January 2019)

“As soon as the US media reported the mysterious illness affecting the US diplomats, I suggested than a microwave weapon — and not sonic attacks — may be the cause of the ‘Havana syndrome’. To the best of my knowledge, I may have been the first person to suggest that the noise ‘heard’ by the victims could have been in fact an illusion caused by the exposure of the acoustic nerve to microwave — GSM like — radiations.”

Intel Today (October 3  2017)

In September 2018, US investigators announced that the US diplomats in Havana have probably been the object of a microwave attack. Now, Berkeley scientists believe that the recording of one “sonic attack”  is actually the singing of a very loud cricket! So, what is the real cause of the Havana syndrome: Antennae or antennas? Two Years Ago — CIA Torture Whistleblower John Kiriakou Responds To President Trump

“This is not something you can do without legal support, congressional support and public support, and that support does not exist.”

John McLaughlin — Deputy CIA Director

“Torture is the weapon of the bully, the coward and the fool, and the US president’s record testifies that he is well qualified to speak on its behalf.”

John le Carré — The Times (

Former CIA Analyst John Kiriakou

January 28 2017 — On Wednesday (January 25 2017), it was revealed  that the White House was planning to issue an executive order to study whether or not the CIA should revive the network of secret prisons. President Trump also said he would ‘absolutely’ bring back banned interrogation methods like waterboarding. Follow us on Twitter: @Intel_Today Continue reading

On This Day — CIA Exfiltrates 6 Diplomats From Iran (January 28 1980)

“Mehrabad is like many Middle Eastern or South Asian airports. Although of fairly modern construction, the people who pass through as travelers or hang around to greet or see travelers off make an orderly transit impossible. This was another reason for choosing the 7:30 a.m. Swissair flight. If we arrived at the airport at 5 a.m., the chances were the airport would be less chaotic. Also, the officials manning the controls might still be sleepy, and most of the Revolutionary Guards would still be in their beds. This was the case that Monday morning, 28 January 1980.”

Tony Mendez — Former CIA Officer

January 28 2019 — The “Canadian Caper” was the popular name given to the joint covert rescue by the Canadian government and the CIA of six American diplomats who had evaded capture during the seizure of the United States embassy in Tehran, Iran, on November 4, 1979, after the Iranian Revolution, when Islamist students took most of the American embassy personnel hostage, demanding the return of the US-backed Shah for trial. CIA Issues Posthumous Apology After New Evidence Clears Abdel Baset al-Megrahi of Involvement In Lockerbie Attack — When Parody Beats Justice…! // UPDATE : Not Crazy Enough to be True?

“The Myth surrounding Libya and Megrahi now quietly slides into history. Political Expedience rules over Truth.”

Richard C. Fuisz M.D.  (Former high-level CIA asset) — Email to Intel Today (December 21 2018)

“Look — in the intelligence community — I’m not giving you a controversial opinion here. I kept up with all of the CIA, National Security Agency analysts, everybody involved in the intelligence side, and to a man nobody has ever said to me that it was Libya. The National Security Agency reporting on Lockerbie is absolutely damming that it was Iran and Syria behind it, rather than Libya. It’s damning, damning, damning, it’s rock solid intelligence”.

Robert Baer (Former CIA Officer)

“Let me take, for example, the Lockerbie case and also the case of the Ténéré [UTA] that were blamed on Libya when all intelligence services know that these attacks were committed by Ahmed Jibril under the inspiration and funding from Iran.”

Yves Bonnet (Former Director of the French Intelligence Agency)

“The case was largely based on this inside guy [Libyan defector Abdul Majid Giaka]. It wasn’t until the trial that I learned this guy was a nut-job and that the CIA had absolutely no confidence in him and that they knew he was a liar. The CIA and the FBI kept the State Department in the dark. It worked for them for us to be fully committed to the theory that Libya was responsible.”

Michael Scharf —  Director of the Frederick K. Cox International Law Center at Case Western Reserve University School of Law

January 13 2019 — This week, four black men who were wrongly accused of raping a white teenager in Florida 70 years ago have been pardoned. Officials voted unanimously to issue the pardon at a meeting in the state capital of Tallahassee. The Onion — an American newspaper organization famous for its satirical articles — published an amazingly ‘funny’ piece titled: CIA Issues Posthumous Apology After New Evidence Clears Osama Bin Laden Of Involvement In 9/11 Attacks. I took the liberty to repost the piece with a few edits. I replaced the name (and picture) of Osama Bin Laden by Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, the name of Zacarias Moussaoui by Ahmed Jibril as well as 9/11 by Lockerbie. The result is quite disturbing. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY Continue reading

One Year Ago — Pope Recognizes Martyrdom of the Seven Trappist Monks Murdered in Tibhirine, Algeria (1996)

“When the time comes, I would like to be able to have that stroke of lucidity which would permit me to ask forgiveness of God and of my brothers in humanity, forgiving wholeheartedly, at the same time, whoever my killer might be. May we meet each other again, happy thieves, in paradise, should it please God.”

French Father Christian de Chergé

January 27 2018 — On Friday January 26 2018, Pope Francis received in audience Cardinal Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Pope Francis allowed the Congregation to enact the decrees of beatification of the 19 martyrs of Algeria, including the seven monks of Tibhirine. The circumstances of their kidnapping and death remain controversial. Humour — Putin Tells a KGB Joke. A Bit Dark but Funny.

Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Whoever wants it back has no brain.”

Vladimir Putin — President of Russia

putinseagal

Vladimir Putin is certainly a tough and uncompromising President but he also can be quite funny when he wants to be. Did you know that Vladimir Putin’s calendar outsells all rivals in Japan? According to media reports, people buying the calendars, including a large number of women, are drawn to Putin’s unconventional style and unashamed machismo. And then, of course, Putin is judo master. In 2012, Putin was awarded 8th dan of the black belt, the first Russian to join a handful of judo fighters in the world who have achieved this status. On This Day — Soviets Liberate Auschwitz (January 27 1945)

“Here I am in this place that commemorates World War II veterans, and here I am the daughter of survivors from the Holocaust, the most horrendous thing that happened. And here I am in the place that commemorates the American heroes, the soldiers who actually liberated my mother in Auschwitz.”

Hadassah Lieberman — Wife of US Senator Joe Lieberman (August 8, 2000)

“I had an uncle … who was part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps.”

Barack Obama (May 26 2008)

On January 27 1945, Soviet troops enter Auschwitz, Poland, freeing the survivors of the network of concentration camps—and finally revealing to the world the depth of the horrors perpetrated there. PS: I believe that the two quotes at the top of this post speak volumes. I would rather not comment… But, just to be very clear, no American soldiers, let alone Obama’s uncle, ever came close to liberate the Jewish people held in Auschwitz.  Obviously, Fake News did not start with Trump’s Presidency. Biography — CIA Director Mike Pompeo (January 23, 2017 – April 26, 2018)

“After many weeks of anticipation, I am eager to join you, energized by the prospect of what we will achieve together.”

Mike Pompeo was sworn in January 23 2017 as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency by Vice President Mike Pence in a ceremony at the White House. Pompeo, who had served as the Congressman representing the 4th District of Kansas, thus became the twenty-second Director of CIA.

President Donald Trump nominated Pompeo as Secretary of State in March 2018, with Pompeo succeeding Rex Tillerson after his dismissal. Pompeo was confirmed by the Senate on April 26, 2018, in a 57–42 vote and was sworn in the same day. Pompeo usually personally delivered the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office.

In this short ‘Biography’ of Pompeo, I am listing in chronological order the various posts I published about the former CIA director during his tenure at the Agency. Enjoy! Follow us on Twitter: Intel_Today Continue reading

One Year Ago — Theresa May Creates Fake News Intelligence Unit

“[Russia] is seeking to weaponise information. Deploying its state-run media organisations to plant fake stories and photo-shopped images in an attempt to sow discord in the West and undermine our institutions. So I have a very simple message for Russia. We know what you are doing. And you will not succeed. Because you underestimate the resilience of our democracies, the enduring attraction of free and open societies, and the commitment of Western nations to the alliances that bind us.”

Theresa May — UK Prime Minister (November 2017)

January 26 2018 — Theresa May is setting up a new “fake news” unit to shut down the influx of anti-Western propaganda she believes is being spread by Russia. The anti-fake news unit will be tasked with “combating disinformation by state actors and others.” British Secretary of Defense, Gavin Williamson, will be providing further details about the National Security Communications Unit in a speech to the House of Commons “within the next few days”.
