April 15 2023 — On this day three years ago, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo participated in a Q&A discussion at Texas A&M University. Pompeo could not resist telling his audience how proud he is to have served as Director of the CIA. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_Today

UPDATE (April 15 2023) — From the start, I stood firm against MSM and I have always argued that the Lab-Leak Theory was NOT a crackpot theory. And here we are four years later…
“The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.” [WSJ : Lab Leak Most Likely Origin of Covid-19 Pandemic, Energy Department Now Says]
When I wrote this post on April 15 2020, I knew that Pompeo was possibly telling the truth on the origin of the Covid pandemic. But I also knew that serious people were unlikely to believe him. Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable.

UPDATE (April 15 2022) — In “The Recruit”, Walter Burke (Al Pacino) is a CIA trainer with a list of slogans he uses to drill his operatives.
In the beginning of their training, Walter Burke reminds his students that:
“Our failures are known. Our successes are not.”
In his first public speech (April 13 2017), CIA Director Mike Pompeo told his audience — and the rest of the world — that:
“Our accomplishments generally remain classified, but a few special ones are known to the world.”
Unlike Walter Burke (The Recruit), Director Pompeo made no references to past failures, and that is perhaps all right.
“There have been only two kinds of CIA secret operations: the ones that are widely known to have failed — usually because of almost unbelievably crude errors — and the ones that are not yet widely known to have failed.”
Edward Luttwak
But Pompeo also suggests that one the CIA’s great successes was to shut down the A. Q. Khan’s nuclear network.
“For example, CIA has been a crucial player in the global campaign against nuclear proliferation.
We’ve helped unravel the nuclear smuggling network used by A.Q. Khan.”
That statement is simply not true. In fact, it is documented that the CIA allowed Khan to build his network.
If it was not for the intervention of the CIA in the Netherlands, Khan would have been arrested first in the 70’s and then again in the 80’s.

“As a now former diplomat and member of Congress, and in this new role at FOX News Media, I intend to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that helped chart the course for unprecedented American prosperity and security.”

UPDATE (April 15 2021) — From CIA Director to US President?
FOX News Media has signed former CIA director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a contributor.
“Mike Pompeo is one of America’s most recognized and respected voices on foreign policy and national security issues. I look forward to his contributions across our range of platforms to share his distinct perspective with our millions of viewers,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said.
Fox News reported just days ago that Pompeo is a potential 2024 contender. So far, George H. W. Bush is the only former Director of Central Intelligence ever elected to the presidency.

April 15 2020 — As you read this post, I would like you to keep in mind that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is now urging China to tell the truth about the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to Pompeo, Beijing’s delay in sharing information about the virus has created risks to people worldwide that had “truly put thousands of lives at risk.”
“My concern is that this cover-up, this disinformation that the Chinese Communist Party is engaged in, is still denying the world the information it needs so that we can prevent further cases or something like this from recurring again,” Pompeo stated on March 25 2020.
I am glad that Pompeo has finally realized that lies kill people. Better late than never.
But I am not entirely sure that Pompeo is the best person to point the finger at the Chinese disinformation programme.

The speech is mostly boring propaganda intended to recruit students but one question and its answer speaks volumes about Mike Pompeo and his Christian principles.
QUESTION: Hi, Mr. Secretary. My name is Ben Allen, and I’m a civil engineering student. My question for you is: How do you balance condemnations with concessions in diplomacy with a controversial government such as Saudi Arabia? Thank you.
SECRETARY POMPEO: So I always begin with a deep understanding that no secretary of state gets through their first day without recognizing it’s a tough world out there.
We don’t appreciate how glorious it is to be here in the United States of America on a consistent enough basis and with enough fervour.
Maybe you do here at Texas A&M, but I think too many Americans don’t understand how blessed we are. These are – are many, many tough places out there.
Having said that, not all tough places are the same. They each present a different set of challenges.
I – it reminds me, you would know this as – it’s a bit of an aside. But in terms of how you think about problem sets, I – when I was a cadet, what’s the first – what’s the cadet motto at West Point? You will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do.
I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. (Laughter.)
It’s – it was like – we had entire training courses. (Applause.) It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment.
“And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”

The Chinese will enjoy the remote torture / mind reading NSA/CIA microchip.
The technology is for sure years away from being openly used. Quite an advance since the MKULTRA experiment.
And of course, as you know, real business and political cooperation in software, computer security, innovation was just announced – with China. I will proudly participate on that on the political level.
Sounds to me like a failed CIA experiment. Military secrets leaked and subject seeking real cooperation with the adversary.
Not to mention the USA rising inflation, dollar being ditched in bilateral trade and military deterrence – countries are partnering with China/Russia for regional security. Two nuclear super-powers, effectively deterring USA nuclear blackmail.
Need more? I can arrange that…
