“Special photography techniques were utilized on specimen K-1 to identify the number/letter “21B” which is contained within the figure of an oval. The number/letter appears in the upper left quadrant of the circuit board, within the lamination and not on the surface of the board. This identification was added during the manufacturing process, and may offer a code to identify the source of this board.”
FBI document (August 20 1990)
December 22 2018 — One may perhaps honestly confuse “MEBO” for “M580” or “MEBQ”. But why would anyone misread “SIB” for “21B” — when the “B” is asymmetrical — is puzzling to say the least. So ask yourself a simple question: What do you read? Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY
The FBI report on the Togo timer does not mention the watermark on the main board of the timer.
This is not surprising as the report signed by FBI Thurman is almost a copy of the CIA report.
Here is this undated FBI report. I think that it must have been written between September 26 and December 11 1990.
However, a FBI document dated August 20 1990 mentions the following:
“Special photography techniques were utilized on specimen K-1 to identify the number/letter “21B” which is contained within the figure of an oval. The number/letter appears in the upper left quadrant of the circuit board, within the lamination and not on the surface of the board. This identification was added during the manufacturing process, and may offer a code to identify the source of this board. It should be noted, however, that the company which applied the actual printed circuit, may not be the company which manufactured the green circuit board.”
What Do YOU Read?
What do you honnestly read? What do you really think is written on that board?
Do you read “21B” like the FBI experts?
If you read “21B” as some people insist, then I wish you good luck! The FBI and the CIA are hiring. You should have an excellent career with them.
But, if you read “SIB” like any reasonable person, you must accept the consequences of reality: PT/35(b) is a forgery. And the Lockerbie investigators KNEW it.
Why Does It matter?
The watermark “SIB” visible on the main board of the MEBO MST-13 timers clearly indicate that these boards were produced by a Swiss branch of the ISOLA Company.
THURING AG — the company that supplied the boards to MEBO — always ordered the Copper Clad Laminates from a Swiss branch of ISOLA: Schweizerische Isolawerke AG in Breitenbach (SIB).
In early 1990, the resin of a board from ISOLA (Switzerland) was tested and definitely ruled out as the source of PT/35(b)!
And therefore, it was crucial NOT to read SIB because the company would have revealed at once that PT/35(b) was not made with one of their boards!
The mistake — reading 21B instead of SIB — was of course necessary to ruin the forensic investigation and build the case against Libya.
Had the SIB logo been read correctly, the case would have collapsed on the spot!
Spectacular Miscarriage of Justice
Most Intel Today readers (88%) believe that the Lockerbie verdict is a spectacular miscarriage of justice.
I understand that a similar poll among Scotland lawyers would be even more devastating.
Truth never dies.
