F-35 — Quick Note on the Corruption of NATO Governments

“Any Norwegian citizen with a brain needs to know, that if Norway is buying the F-35,  then someone — politician or bureaucrat — has been bribed to make that possible. Okay!”

Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II

On Thursday (October 25 2018), the Belgian government approved the purchase of 34 F-35 Lightning II combat planes, produced by the American group Lockheed Martin, for a total of €3.8 billion.  Why would any NATO Defense Force purchase the Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike fighter — aka “The Flying Turd” —  at a meager cost of $110 million each? A spokeswoman from the US State Department, Heather Nauer stated in a communiqué:

“The United States welcomes the decision by the Government of Belgium to purchase thirty-four new F-35 fighter aircraft.

Belgium is now poised to fly the F-35 alongside its closest NATO Allies and longtime partners.

The United States is proud of our enduring air partnership with Belgium, a country whose air power has contributed to the Defeat ISIS campaign in Iraq and Syria, and NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission.

With Belgium’s commitment to the F-35 program, its five-star aerospace industry will continue to expand as it supports this 5th generation aircraft, which was jointly developed with European partners.

Belgium’s participation in the F-16 program has been a cornerstone of our modern transatlantic defense partnership.

We look forward to continuing this partnership for many decades to come with the F-35 program.”

Why would any NATO Defense Force purchase the Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike fighter — aka “The Flying Turd” —  at a meager cost of $130 million each?

According to former CIA analyst, the answer to that question is rather simple: Corruption.

So Belgian journalists should investigate which politicians and bureaucrats have been bribed.

This decision is very unpopular among ordinary citizens and I suspect that the party of the Prime Minister will pay dearly for that poor choice at the general elections next year.

If true, this could have grave consequences as it may be impossible to form a government, thus making Belgium very attractive to terrorist attacks once again. Let us hope that I am wrong.
