“There’s no difference between one’s killing and making decisions that will send others to kill. It’s exactly the same thing, or even worse.”
“Every civilization finds it necessary to negotiate compromises with its own values.”
Movie Quote from Munich (2005) – Golda Meir
September 7 1972 — Two days after the Munich massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics, Israel retaliated by bombing ten PLO bases in Syria and Lebanon. Prime Minister Golda Meir also created Committee X –a small group of government officials tasked with formulating an Israeli response — with herself and Defense Minister Moshe Dayan at the head.
General Aharon Yariv was appointed as her advisor on Counterterrorism issues. The committee X came to the conclusion that, in order to deter future violent incidents against Israel, they needed to assassinate those who had supported or carried out the Munich massacre, and in dramatic fashion. Mossad Director Zvi Zamir took the principal role in directing the ensuing operation codenamed “Wrath of God”. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY

The Munich massacre was a terrorist attack on September 5 1972 during the Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany,. The Palestinian terrorist group Black September took eleven Israeli Olympic team members hostage and killed them along with a West German police officer.
Shortly after the crisis began, a Black September spokesman demanded that 234 Palestinian prisoners jailed in Israel and the West German-held founders of the Red Army Faction, Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhof, be released.
Black September called the operation “Iqrit and Biram”, after two Palestinian Christian villages whose inhabitants were expelled by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
The Black September commander, Luttif Afif, was born to Jewish and Christian parents. His group was associated with secular nationalism, working for the rights of Palestinians in Israel. West German neo-Nazis gave the group logistical assistance.
