The meeting between CIA director Mike Pompeo and Kim Jong Un marks the highest level US contact with North Korea since 2000.

“North Korea committed to denuclearization”
Mike Pompeothat the North is committed to denuclearization.
“We’ve gotten more than any previous administration — an agreement to not continue testing nuclear weapons and their missile program, the things that would put them capable of getting across the threshold.
He has allowed to continue — us to continue our exercises on the peninsula, something that’s been fought over for decades.
And at the same time he has agreed to have a conversation about denuclearization.”
The Trump-Kim Summit : Where and when?
The summit is rumoured to be scheduled in late May or early June. The location has not been disclosed. The demilitarised zone between North and South Korea or Beijing — as well as several other Asian capitals — have been suggested by experts. A European country — Switzerland? — may also be considered.
But the meeting could very well take place on a vessel in international waters. Remember the “Malta-Yalta” fiasco?
“Pressure on North Korea Will Continue”
CIA Director Mike Pompeo said the Trump administration has its eyes “wide open” to the North Korean regime’s history of empty promises after President Trump accepted an invitation for talks with leader Kim Jong Un.
