CIA Rushing to Judgement. Again

Michael “Mike” Baker is a former covert operations officer with the CIA. His recent interviews on Fox News regarding the Muenster van attack and the alleged chemical attack in Syria demonstrate that some people never learn from their past mistakes. Follow us on Twitter: @Intel_Today

Baker spent 17 years as a covert field operations officer for the Central Intelligence Agency, specializing in counterterrorism, counter-narcotics and counterinsurgency operations.

He is president and co-founder of Diligence LLC, a private intelligence and security firm, a frequent guest on the Fox News Channel.

Interview I : The Muenster Attack

On Saturday (April 7 2018), a vehicle, reportedly a grey VW van, was driven into a tourist square in the Muenster city at 15:27 local time. Two people were killed. (20 injured)

The attack in Muenster came a year to the day of a truck attack in Stockholm in which a Islamist militant killed five people.

The similarity of the method and the timing left no doubt in Mike Baker’s mind that the attack had been carried out by an  Islamist terrorist.

“It walks like a duck and it talks  like a duck. I don’t think there is any doubt really at this point what it is.”

That conclusion is however completely incorrect. German authorities found “no clues” pointing to an extremist or political motive.

Interior minister Herbert Reul said  there was no evidence linking Jens R. — a German national — to Islamist militancy.

As they say: “If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”

Interview II : The chemical attack in Douma, Syria

Being proven so completely wrong in such a short amount of time would give a pause to most ordinary people.

But obviously, the CIA trained Mike Baker is not the kind of person to reflect on his past mistakes.

On Saturday (April 7 2018), dozens of people were reported to have been killed in a chemical attack in Douma, Eastern Ghouta region.

One video — recorded by a suspicious group known as the White Helmets — shows men, women and children lying lifeless inside a house. This information has not been verified independently.

Nevertheless, baker has already identified the culprits and offers advises on how to punish them!

In Baker’s mind, there is no doubt that Assad and Putin have ordered the chemical attack on Douma. His advice:  “Never let a bully get away with it!”

For the record, this new accusation against the Assad’s regime is no more credible than previous ones.

The official narrative that Assad carried out a gas attack in Eastern Ghouta in 2013 was debunked by several independent experts. They were able to demonstrate proved that the attack had actually been launched by US-backed “rebels”.

The CIA also attributed the alleged gas attack on Khan Shaykoun in April 2017 to Assad ‘s regime in less than 24 hours. In retaliation, the US launched a major US cruise missile assault on a Syrian air base.

Again, several independent experts have debunked that story. Many believe that the tragedy resulted from an air strike on a “rebel” poison gas facility.

There is no credible evidence concerning the alleged attack in the Eastern Ghouta city of Douma. The video clips prove absolutely  nothing. They could have been manufactured and edited at any time.

On Monday (April 9 2018), the WikiLeaks organization announced a $100,000 reward for confidential official information (intercepts, reports) showing to who is responsible for the alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria.
