“Every time you go to a party and take a picture and post that picture to Facebook, you’re being a rat.”
Julian Assange — WikiLeaks
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says Facebook, Google, and Yahoo are actually tools for the U.S. intelligence community. Is he paranoid? This issue is serious, deadly serious. But today, I feel like we need a little break.. When everything seems to be out of control in our society, we certainly can all use a good laugh. PS: Many thanks to my friend “Z” who told me about this really excellent parody of the CIA-Facebook collaboration. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY
Assange is especially critical of the Facebook. He believes that the information Facebook houses is a potential boon for the U.S. government if it tries to build up a dossier on users.
“Facebook in particular is the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented.
Here we have the world’s most comprehensive database about people, their relationships, their names, their addresses, their locations and the communications with each other, their relatives, all sitting within the United States, all accessible to U.S. intelligence.”
INTEL TODAY will — of course — come back to this issue. For now, enjoy this good show!
