On December 20, AWD News reported a story headlined:
“Israeli Defense Minister: If Pakistan send ground troops to Syria on any pretext, we will destroy this country with a nuclear attack”.
On December 23, Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif sent a warning to Israel on Twitter that:
“Pakistan is a nuclear state too.”
Then on December 24, Israel’s defense ministry tweeted back that:
“The statement attributed to former Defense Minister Yaalon re Pakistan was never said. Reports referred to by the Pakistani Defense Minister are entirely false.”

AWD News
The AWD News site is indeed running weird stories. After the attempted coup in Turkey, the site reported that a group of sixteen Americans working for the CIA had managed the coup.

I concluded that the story was indeed “Fake News”. I wrote:
“At this point, one can only conclude that a group of distinguished scholars met at the Splendid Palace Hotel for a conference about the current situation in Iran and the ‘region’. There is no reason to link these individuals to the attempted Coup.”
