WHO IS Shaltay-Boltay? Konstantin Teplyakov and Aleksandr Filinov

“Initially, when starting this project, Shaltay-Boltay was supposed to be a spokesman for the Anonymous International. Mainly, I was doing this job. Then, Anikeev started introducing himself to the reporters as Lewis and got everyone confused.”

Alexander Glazastikov

Between October and December 2016, the Federal Security Service (FSB) have arrested Anonymous International/Shaltay-Boltay leader Vladimir Anikeev, his computer expert Alexander Glazastikov as well as two of his alleged accomplices Aleksandr Filinov and Konstantin Tepljakov.  Vladimir Anikeev’s girlfriend Irina Shevchenko is on the “wanted list”. The FSB has also arrested Ruslan Stoyanov, the former head of Kaspersky Lab’s Computer Incident Investigation Department. The FSB has arrested colonel Sergey Mikhailov and his colleague Major Dmitry Dokuchaev, both senior officers of the 2nd Operational Management of FSB Information Security Center.  In recent days, Russian media have reported that the investigators suspect that some individuals of the 4th Department of the MIA (Ministry of Internal Affairs)  may have cooperated with these “hackers”. There are also confusing and contradictory reports regarding Vitalina Zerny who is said to be the “wife” of Anikeev and/or his accomplice. Former C.I.A. Director Leon Panetta: “President Must Build ‘Loyalty’ With Intel Community”

“Obviously, it’s not a good situation. Because there is a lack of trust between the president and the intelligence community, and between the intelligence community and the president. And, you know, every time he demeans the intelligence community or accuses it of leaks or accuses it of doing things that it’s not doing, that obviously impacts on the morale of that institution.”

Since the election of Mr Trump, various media have reported ‘rumors’ that Israel, the UK, Australia and some European countries might be reconsidering whether they could openly share intelligence with the Trump administration due to the President’s alleged close ties to Putin. So far, these rumors were swiftly dismissed by the experts. But the latest series of news raises to a higher level the issue of whether intelligence shared with the US IC could be leaked to Russia by some members of Trump’s cabinet.
