Lockerbie — CIA Doc Blames Vladimir Putin for Pan Am 103 Bombing

“Admitting that the organization had erroneously rushed to judgment in response to an unimaginable tragedy, CIA director John Ratcliffe has issued today a posthumous apology to the family of Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in light of new evidence which conclusively clears the former Libyan Airline employee of any involvement whatsoever in the Lockerbie attack.”

“In 1991, I made a pledge to you on behalf of the American law-enforcement community: ‘We will not rest until all those responsible are brought to justice.’ That is still our pledge. For me personally, this is still very much unfinished business.”

April 1 2025 — For more than 30 years, we have been told that Gaddafi’s Libya was responsible for the bombing of Pan Am 103 on December 21 1988. Except for a few conspiracy theorists, no one ever doubted that this is indeed what happened.

Robert Mueller — better known today for his role as the RussiaGate Special Counsel — led the Lockerbie FBI investigation, and William Barr — now U.S. Attorney General — issued the indictment on November 14, 1991.

Who could possibly doubt the judgment of individuals with such extraordinary intellect and impeccable integrity?

November 14 1991 — United States Acting Attorney General William Barr and Assistant Attorney General Robert Mueller announce that they have obtained warrants for the arrest of Abdelbasset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah for their role in the bombing of Pan Am 103.

The matter appeared settled once and for all in January 2001 when three judges found Libyan official Abdel Baset al-Megrahi guilty at the Zeist trial.

The case was largely circumstantial, as prosecutors could not explain how a lone Libyan terrorist managed to plant the bomb on the plane. This, as the judges noted, was a small ‘glitch’ in the prosecution case presented by Mueller and Barr.

The Lockerbie case seemed like an old and uninteresting story — until December 2018, when Schrödinger’s Cat investigators discovered a Stasi ID pass issued to Vladimir Putin during his time as a Soviet spy in East Germany.

Putin, then a KGB major, obtained his Stasi card in 1985 and kept it officially stamped until December 1989, when the East German regime collapsed amid mass pro-democracy protests.

For once, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made no attempt to deny the discovery of Putin’s Stasi card.

“The KGB and the Stasi were partner intelligence agencies, so you probably can’t rule out an exchange of such identity cards,” Peskov admitted.

Historians and terrorism experts quickly noted that the timing was entirely consistent with the planning of the Lockerbie bombing.

Last week, two dozen former Stasi officers were questioned by investigators about their knowledge of the Pan Am 103 case and Putin’s potential role in the affair.

According to a well-informed MI6 source, the evidence against Putin is overwhelming — indeed, incontrovertible.

Means, Motive, and Opportunity

As soon as Vladimir Putin arrived in Dresden, he requested that a Stasi officer contact Edwin Bollier, the owner of a small electronics company (MeBo). Bollier was an agent for the Stasi in Switzerland.

The scientist charged with this operation was Dr. Steinberger from the Stasi’s Scientific and Technical Institute. To the Stasi, Bollier’s codename was “Rubin.”

The CIA report linking Jibril to Lockerbie was redacted but the report was accidentally published in a form that allowed the redacted information to be easily retrieved. The report was published in the PDF file format, and the classified sentences were covered by a black bar. However, the text below it had not been erased, and was present in the file. Schrödingcat investigators discovered that a simple cut-and-paste between Acrobat Reader and Microsoft Word was sufficient to make the text reappear.

Bollier’s job was simple: first, he had to produce a unique electronic timer (known as MST-13), and then convince Libya to purchase a batch. He also had to provide a few free samples to the Stasi. [East German authorities were apparently unaware that Bollier was also working for the CIA under the codename “AGA.”]

Next, Putin arranged for some of these timers—which were “known to have been solely delivered to Libya”—to be supplied to one of their proxy terrorist organizations, namely the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC) of Ahmed Jibril.

Former CIA Director John Brennan later admitted that he may have relied on “bad information” when he once described the evidence against Libya as a “slam dunk.”

“I suspected there was more than there actually was,” Brennan confessed.

Jibril accepted the job, believing it to be revenge for the U.S. shootdown of Iran Air Flight 665. His organization was well compensated (USD 10 million). [Former CIA officer Bob Weirdo has already provided evidence of this payment to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission.]

In reality, Putin was acting in revenge for the “Farewell Project” that had cost so many Russian lives and ultimately contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union.

According to a former high-ranking FBI agent, Putin also orchestrated the assassination of Gus W. Weiss — the mastermind behind the Farewell Project — and ordered KGB operatives to stage his death as a suicide.

Over the weekend, UK scientists at Porton Down re-analyzed explosive residues found on key evidence recovered from the Lockerbie debris. They concluded that the explosive was “similar” to SEMTEX, a compound known to have been developed in the Soviet Union.

The UK government wasted no time in accusing Russia. Today, Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated:

“It is now clear that Pan Am 103 was destroyed with an explosive of a type developed by the Soviet Union. This is part of a group of explosives known as ‘SEMTEX.’

Based on the positive identification of this chemical agent by world-leading experts at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory at Porton Down, the Government has concluded that it is highly likely that Russia was responsible for the bombing of Pan Am 103.”

The CIA swiftly issued a posthumous apology, clearing Abdel Baset al-Megrahi of any involvement in the Lockerbie attack.

In a short statement, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that the agency now operates under the assumption that Ahmed Jibril conducted the terrorist attack under the inspiration and funding of Putin.

Analysis

The story is not as clear as it seems. According to a CIA source who wishes to remain anonymous, Jibril was merely a stooge.

While serious investigators typically disregard “anonymous sources,” it is important to remember that “AGA” was communicating with the CIA.

“AGA” later admitted to supplying both Abu Nidal and Carlos the Jackal with various electronic devices, including a “bomb suitcase.”

Many at the Agency believe that Abu Nidal was actually contracted by Putin to bring down Pan Am 103. This would explain why Putin also ordered Nidal’s assassination just before the U.S. invasion of Iraq. (Officially, Nidal committed suicide. He reportedly shot himself multiple times—in the back of the head. What a brave freedom fighter, as Ronald Reagan once called them!)

In 2023, FBI Director Kash Patel published “Government Gangsters,” a partial memoir in which he criticized the so-called “deep state.”

In the book, he listed 60 individuals he believed to be part of this entrenched bureaucracy, including Bill Barr and Robert Mueller — both of whom played key roles in the Lockerbie investigation.

US President Donald Trump has tasked the FBI to investigate Bill Barr and Robert Mueller for their responsibility in one of the greatest miscarriage of justice ever in US modern history.

The End

PS: Granted, this April Fool’s satire is utterly ridiculous. Perhaps some of you will find it amusing, depending on how much you know about the Lockerbie case.

But if I may be serious for a second… Did you know that the Lockerbie case was built entirely on information collected by the CIA during the three years prior to the bombing and embellished with a few anecdotes from old cases of terrorism? Think about that.

Robert Mueller was assistant attorney general in the United States in 1991 when indictments were issued for the two Libyan suspects, Megrahi and Al-amin Khalifa Fimah. A young Mueller is explaining the importance of PT/35(b), a small fragment of a circuit timer that was allegedly found among the debris of Pan Am 103 near the town of Lockerbie. Intel Today has come to the conclusion that PT/35(b) is a forgery that was planted by the CIA to blame Libya for the tragedy.

“Cretton [Real name : Swiss Inspector Hans Knaus] expressed his concerns (…) The first was that the CIA had planted the chip [PT/35(b)] in the wreckage found at Lockerbie. [Detective Superintendant (SIO) Stuart] Henderson and I told him this thought had also crossed our minds. Neither of us believed the CIA or any government official would do such a thing, but we had discussed the possibility.”
