UPDATE (December 23, 2024) — The book just made its appearance of the Amazon Hot New Releases!

“Silent Stars: The Fallen Heroes of the CIA” (Volume I) is available on Kindle.

This book systematically reviews each star on the CIA Memorial Wall, providing a valuable resource for both amateur and professional historians.

For the first time, it offers a clear picture of what information remains classified. I hope that the readers will enjoy the book and that it will inspire historians to undertake further research.

In the meantime, I’m starting work on Volume II, which will cover the period from 1974 to 2001 and honor CIA stars numbered 32 through 78.

PS: You can read the book using the free Kindle app, available for iOS, Android, Mac, and PC.

END of UPDATE

“We stand before these 140 stars not only with gratitude but with reverence for our fallen heroes. We’ll never forget their sacrifice. We’ll never forget their devotion.”

William J. Burns
Director of the Central Intelligence Agency

Silent Stars is a multi-volume series dedicated to honoring the fallen heroes of the CIA, each commemorated with a star on the CIA Memorial Wall. This series delves deeply into the lives and sacrifices of CIA officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Spanning from the agency’s founding in 1947 to the ongoing “War on Terror,” each volume explores a distinct era in the CIA’s history. Through these stories, readers will gain a comprehensive and poignant understanding of the individuals whose courage and dedication helped shape the world.

Volume I covers the earliest sacrifices of CIA officers from 1947 to 1974. Subsequent volumes will examine the post-Cold War challenges and the CIA’s critical role in the global fight against terrorism.

I hope you’ll find these stories as compelling as they are revealing — bringing to light details that have remained hidden for far too long.

Silent Stars is now available on Kindle.

“Whoever fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

Friedrich Nietzsche
