“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”
Donald Trump
Presidential candidate
July 27 2016

July 27 2023 — On July 27 2016, Donald Trump crossed the Rubicon when he called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails. From that instant on, Trump was at war with the CIA. Follow us on Twitter: @INTEL_TODAY

Trump’s comment was about the more than 30,000 emails that were deleted from Clinton’s private server while she served as Secretary of State.
Former CIA chief Leon Panetta told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that “Trump’s actions call his loyalty to the U.S. into question.”
Amampour tweeted the following: “Fmr. CIA Dir. Panetta on Trump call for Russia HRC hacking: Trump’s loyalty to U.S. in question & possible conspiracy with a foreign power”
“This just is beyond my own understanding of the responsibilities that candidates have to be loyal to their country and to their country alone, not to reach out to somebody like Putin and Russia, and try to engage them in an effort to try to, in effect, conduct a conspiracy against another party.”
“You’ve got now a presidential candidate who is in fact asking the Russians to engage in American politics and I just think that’s beyond the pale. I have a lot of concerns of his qualities of leadership or lack thereof. That kind of statement only reflects the fact that he truly is not qualified to be president of the United States.”
The Havana Syndrome saga is a sophisticated hoax that was initiated during Trump’s presidential campaign and ended with his presidency.
Cui bono? What was the purpose of this disinformation campaign? To whom did it benefit? Ask yourself a simple question:
Who had Motive (a reason to commit the crime), Means (the ability and tools necessary to commit the crime), and Opportunity (adequate chances to commit the crime)?
Postscript: The CIA’s final analysis on Havana Syndrome is scientifically flawed because their experts, including those from the US Academy of Sciences, have ignored a well-known property of electromagnetic waves. This will be the subject of my next post. Stay tuned!
“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”
Senate Democratic leader Charles Schumer
